This entire context, evidently, should be seen as a barrier of Eurovision’s self-proclaimed spirit of unity.

The Pageant Proceeds Amidst Profound Human Cost

The contest marks seven decades next year – almost double the current lifespan of a person in Gaza at present. The broadcast will air, but it will never be able to restore the whimsical pleasure it was formerly known for. An institution that initially championed togetherness has devolved into a transparent instrument to provide a cultural veneer for conflict.
