Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for an innovative locally engineered defensive UAV to enhance its air defences. The first three manufacturers have started manufacturing, with an additional eleven getting ready to establish production lines, Ukrainian military officials stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Situations

These UAVs will be based on a nationally created technology called “Octopus” designed to neutralize Shahed drones. This technology has been tested in actual battle and demonstrated effective “at night, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established an ambitious goal of producing up to 1,000 defensive drones each day.

Latest Attack on Kyiv Described as Calculated

Volodymyr Zelenskyy described Moscow's most recent assault against Ukraine as “intentional, premeditated and wicked” after six people were killed and many others wounded in a series of nocturnal attacks across Kyiv.
